Add a jumper to the digital board, connecting the empty pads near the upper left corner of the IC when looking at the board from the component side (display up/speaker down - facing away from you).
FM "Air-band" coverage:
Add a jumper between pin 67 of the microprocessor and ground.

Now try:
PGMM, LIMIT, 54, ENTER, LIMIT, 88, ENTER
Again press the up arrow.
Will search low band range of 54-88 MHz at 5 kHz steps

The following diodes will determine how your scanner will work.
D-510 INSTALLED - 400 memories
REMOVE - 300 memories
D-512 INSTALLED - 30kHz steps from 825-844.995 and 870-889.995
REMOVE - 12.5kHz steps from 825-844.995 and 870-889.995
D-513 INSTALLED - Removes 825-844.995 MHz and 870-889.995 MHz
REMOVE - Restores all of 800 MHz band
D-514 INSTALLED - 20 channels per second
REMOVE - 16 channels per second
TURBO SCAN:
Replace 7.37 MHz with 10.7 MHz resonator

Remove the top cover
Looking at the rear of the front panel, on the left hand
side, you will see two diodes marked D503 and D502.
Clip D502
Restores the inhibited 800 MHz frequencies in 30 kHz steps.

Clip D502 = Restore FULL 800mhz coverage
Clip D503 = Scan speed increase
Scan rate increase:
Replace CX503 (12Mhz) with a 16Mhz crystal.
Will now scan at around 40 channels per second.

Realistic PRO-2020
There are 2 jumper resistors inside on the logic board,
you will see there are dotted lines diagonally,
move the (2) jumper resistors to those dotted lines to
receive 30-50MHz, or vice versa,
30-50MHz is straight across
68-88MHz diagonal
You can install a switch to select between 68-88MHz and 30-50Mhz.

Clip D-44 Restore 851-866mhz
Clip D-45 Restore 66-88mhz, will lose 30-54mhz, install switch!

Realistic PRO-2022
D42 Installed, adds the 68-88 Mhz, removing the US 30-54 MHz low band.
D43 Installed, allowing 800MHz
D44 Installed, deleting the cellular mobile and base frequencies.
REMOVED, 806-960 restored, including 30 kHz steps
D45 installed, it makes the cellular 30 kHz increments change to
12.5 kHz. A switch could be connected in series with one lead of a 1N914 or 1N4148 would allow selection of the 25 kHz step interval spacing.

Realistic PRO-2036
1. Remove all cover screws
2. Remove x4 face plate screws and x1 bracket screw at center
3. Carefully depress the outside edges of faceplate shield and tilt down.
4. Unplug J4 and J5, also ribbon cables J501,J502 and J503
5. Remove faceplate and logic board.
6. Position circuit board so processor is on the left and battery on right.
7. Locate chip resistors marked 104 at circuit board upper right and remove from the circuit board.
8. Install these chip resistors in the x2 empty pads closest to battery.
9. This will restore full 800mhz coverage.
